Hey guys! Welcome to my blog! Here’s hoping this little project will work and also carry over into China. One of the previous recipients of the Hanban Confucius Institute scholarship made a blog for China, and I thought it was such a great idea I decided to copy it! You can view her blog here. So far this entire experience has been a rather large pain in the arse. Part of the blame can be placed on some bad timing and communication on the university’s end, but a big chunk I have to assign to myself. But I don’t want this to become I blog I use merely for the purpose of complaining. I want it to be log of my journey in China and provide easy access to a record of my experiences. So far, this has been a bit frustrating as I’ve mentioned above. But as the date of departure draws near my feelings fluctuate rapidly. In fact, simply creating this blog sent a rush of adrenaline through me and I feel ready to leave tonight! That is, of course, incorrect. I’m NOT ready–there’s still shopping to do, another round of immunizations to get, forms to be signed: the to-do list never ends. And when I think about the fact that I have only two more weeks to spend with family and friends I get a bit nervous and depressed. But that’s to be expected.
